I am sooo lucky to have a little girl that loves dresses. Because I love to see my little princess all frilled up!!! This dress I made from a New Look pattern was plain so I needed to give it a little frill. Not overkill just a little femininity added to it. (By the way I like frilly overkill on my princess) I love. LOVE, love how it turned out!!!! And so did Aiyanna. She cried when we got home from church and she had to take it off. How sweet is that?
So all I did was add some tulle to the bottom of the lining making sure it was long enough to peek out.
It really does makes a big difference!!!
Do you want a tutorial for adding the tulle or do you already know how to do it???

So so pretty! I love it.
I was wondering what kind of tulle it is and if it turned out machine washable? It looks so pretty!
love it! I would love a tutorial, I have never added tulle to the bottom. It's always nice to have a reference when you are tying something new. amy

How cute!! I loved sewing for my daughters but they grew up.. by the age of 11 they would no longer wear, as they called it, 'home made clothes'.. they wanted 'mall clothes'...lol
Enjoy while they are young!
