I've Got a Winner!!!
You know you made something great when you pull it off the sewing machine and your little girl says "Oh Mommy it's Bootiful" as she undresses herself so she can put on her new dress. And the best thing about this dress is that it took 5 minutes to make! Really!!!!!!!
It doesn't get much easier than this.
Supplies Needed:
2 shirts
scissors
thread
sewing machine
Here are the 2 shirts I chose to use.
Cut the bottom hem off.
I cut this shirt off where it gathers right below the tie.
Next I gathered the polkadot fabric on the edge I just cut.
I adjusted the gathers to fit the bottom of the striped shirt. Make sure to match your seams : )
Zigzag stitch so it has some stretch.
That's it. See how easy!!!!!!

Hey, I hopped over from New Friend Friday, and I LOVE this dress! Polka dots AND stripes? In those delicious pinks? So glad she loved it, too! We're so lucky our first was a boy or we'd be broke, but I'll be filing this idea away for when I've got a girl... :)
