After making a ball out make of denim last week I thought it would be a good idea to make some out of different fabrics and colors. So during nap time one day I made these. I planned on putting them up for Christmas, but Dakota woke up early from nap and saw them. It was all over then. Of course he wanted to play with them right then.
How could I say no? I told him to go ahead.
I was interested to see if he would notice the different textures. I just sat back and watched him and he noticed the textures right away.
He touched all of them and said "Hey Mommy this one is the hardest."
He was right!!!
"And this one is the softest."
"This one has lots of colors."
These will provide HOURS of fun!
These are great for rainy days and evenings!!! We have a blast playing with them.
And they are a great learning tool too!!! We talk about colors, textures, sizes, and count them.
I made them from fleece, denim, vinyl, felt, cotton, minky, chenille, suede, furry, flannel, and terry cloth.
I still want to make a few more. I want to do cordouroy, jersey, and leather.
