Jeans Quilt {The Back Side}
OK, so yesterday I showed y'all how I made the quilt top. Today we are gonna take a look at the back side. My husband suggested doing jeans on the back to. I thought that was a great idea (he has a lot of great ideas, by the way). I didn't want to do it the same as the front. Mostly because I was tired of cutting out a bazillion squares, LOL! So here is what I came up with.
I didn't take pictures of the process but this is very simple.
I just laid out a pair of jeans on the cutting table. I started at the bottom and cut through both layers to just below the front pockets. Make your strips as wide as possible. Some of my strips are 5", some are 8", and some are 6". Repeat with the other leg., Next I sewed the 4 strips together to make 1 really long strip.
Sew all the long strips together. I alternated the light and dark strips.
I'm not sure which side I like better!!!!
