Any Computer Geeks Out There?
In my quest for a project a day during March I challenged myself to make a few things for my husband.
Today I was up for the challenge!!!
I wanted to make something that would be helpful and I knew he would use.
He is a computer geek and always carries a USB flash drive with him. So I decided to make him something to keep his flash drive in.
So here it is!!
If you know a computer geek I'm sure they would LOVE one of these!!!
If you know a computer geek I'm sure they would LOVE one of these!!!
I put it on a D-ring so he can put it on his key chain.
Supplies Needed:
- 1.5" Wide Belt Webbing ( I purchased my blue webbing at Joann's)
- 1" D-ring
- Snap
- Scissors
- Measuring Tape
- Lighter
- Thread
- Sewing Machine
Cut a piece of webbing 7" long.
Using a lighter seal both ends of the piece of webbing.
Put a snap to one end as pictured above.
Fold the end with the snap up 2" and pin.
Sew close to the edge on each side.
Add a snap to the other edge of webbing.
Slide your D-ring on and snap it closed.
Sew close to the D-ring.
Your Flash drive is finished!!!
Slip you flash drive in.
Snap it shut.
Add it to your key chain and now you'll have it with you wherever you go!
Show some love to a computer geek in your life and suprise him or her with one of these.
They are gonna love it!
I promise.

What a fabulous idea! I'm going to make these for my boys. They're always losing their flash drives. Thanks for sharing. Happy Friday! :o)
I love this idea!!
What a GREAT idea!! My husband is the Tech-man for a school district so he's always carrying a couple of these around for himself or his teachers. And I've washed them MANY times in the laundry too - surprisingly they still function! I HAVE to make one (or 2 or 3) of these for him! Thank you for the idea & instructions! Looks so simple!!
PS- I ADORE YOUR BLOG!!! It's truly one of my favorites!
i don't use flash drives but this would be PERFECT for my camera memory stix!!! thanks for the great idea!!!
What a great idea! I wonder what else this could be used for? A pound for a supermarket trolley for one...
