Slipper Sew Along { Day 5 }
I am so glad you decided to join me this week for the Slipper Sew Along.
How are you doing on your slippers???
We are almost done!
Today we are going to finish them up!
Lay one inner sole with fusible fllece and one plain inner sole right sides together.
Sew. Make sure to leave an opening for turning.
Turn right side out.
Press. Make sure to press the raw edges of the opening to the inside.
Whipstitch the opening closed.
Slip the insoles into the slippers.
Now we are ready to embelish!!!
I like to sew on felt flowers with a button center.
You did it!!! You just finished your slippers!
Now put them on and admire your feet all day long!

Hi Nancy! I haven't gotten the chance to stop by and say thank you for all your love, support, and prayers for Lilly. You are truly amazing, and you will never know how deeply you touched my family's hearts. I appreciate all the posts and kimonos. I never in a million years imagined I would be going through what I went through, but I can tell you that you and the other ladies that made kimonos made it so much easier to get through it. You all showed me that there are still people in this world with compassion and love for others and that God does show himself through living angels.
Lilly is doing great and turns 1 on Easter! You'd never know she went through surgery just a mere 3 1/2 weeks ago until her little battle scar peeks through the top of one of her outfits. It makes me cry and it makes me smile. But I can tell you one thing...she is one tough little cookie. I don't want to stand in her way when she's older! : )
God bless- Britni
These slippers are darling! I love all of the colors and your tutorials are great!!
