Art Smock

Last week I did a tutorial on how to recycle a t-shirt into a sleeved bib. It got me thinking of other things I recyced old t-shirts into. My son, Dakota, loves to paint. He always ends up with paint all over his clothes. So I went to his closet and got an old t--shirt and made him a paint smock. It's nothing fancy, but it serves it's purpose of keeping his clothes paint free.  It's so quick and easy to make!!!!

Lay the shirt back side up. Find the middle back and cut straight up from bottom to top.

For the ties I cut a 1/2" wide strip off each side, but you could use bias tape.

Pin bias tape to the raw edges tucking the ties in to the bias tape at the top and sew.

That's it!!!
