You know the saying you can never have to many shoes....well my pocketbook disagrees!
I saw these shoes in a magazine and fell in love with them.
Aren't they to die for?!?!?!
I stared at this picture for a few minutes and then realized I could do that.
What do you think???
I love them and so does my pocketbook because I had everything on hand to make them.
I had these pair of shoes in the back of my closet. They are not exactly like the ones in the picture, but they were close enough!!!
I also had these leather pants that I bought at a thrift store for $0.50 about a year ago.
Put the shoes on and measured how long the finished ruffle will need to be. I have a big feet so
my finished ruffle needs to be 6" long.
Measure the strap. My strap was just under 3/4".
From the leather pants I cut 2 strips 24" x 1.5" for the ruffle.
I also cut 2 squares 1" x 1" for the strap casing.
Round all your edges.
Lay your square on the edge of the long strip.
Sew it close to the edges.
Using jeans thread I ruffled the strip of leather by hand.
Here is what it will look like.
Scrunch it with your fingers.
Now it looks like this.
Slide the strap through the top.
Hot glue the other end to the toe of the shoe.
Put them on and go paint the town red.
You are an artist girl! Those shoes are fabulous! WOW!
