Scrap Buster Saturday: BUBBLE REVAMP

For today's scrap buster I am going to upcycle a bubble for my little girl.  I raided my scrap bin to turn the bubble into this dress.

Here is the buble I started with. I love the smocking on it!

First I cut the bottom off.

Measure 4" from the bottom and cut.

Next I raided my scrap tub for a coordinating fabric.
I cut a 4" wide strip the same length as the strip I just cut off.

I sewed the ends my pink strip of fabric together.
Sew the pink fabric to the top of the bubble.

Next sew the 4" strip you the bubble to the bottom of the pink fabric.
Iron all the seams down.

For the ruffle cut a 3" strip of coordinating fabric.
Fold it in half and iron.

Gather the strip and the sew it on the bottom of your dress.
