Every time we go to Dollar Tree my kids want a quarter to get a gumball out of the gumball machine.
They love those things!!!!
That was my inspiration for this shirt.
Wanna make one???
Supplies Needed:
Scrap of red fabric
Small piece of clear vinyl
Fusible webbing
Tracing paper
Pen
Scissors
Thread
Fabric paint
Buttons
Iron
Sewing Machine
Draw or trace a gumball machine on tracing paper.
Cut the pieces out.
Apply fusible webbing the your piece of red fabric.
Trace the bottom pattern piece onto the fusible webbing backing. Cut it out.
Trace the circle onto the vinyl using a Sharpie. Cut it out.
Next I lay the pieces on the shirt so I can see where I want it at.
Iron the bottom piece to the shirt.
Zigzag around the edge.
Sew the circle on using a straight stitch.
Make sure to leave an opening at the top big enough for the buttons to fit through.
The vinyl was sticking to my foot so I put the tracing papper on top on the vinyl and no more sticking!!!
If you used tracing paper on top of the vinyl just pull it off after you are done stitching.
Put your buttons in through the whole you left at the top.
Sew the small top piece on over the whole.
Using fabric paint I painted on the details.
After the paint is dry sew a button on to the opening of the gumball machine.
WOW! Lovly creations!
