5 Minute T-shirt Skirt

This has to be the easiest, quickest skirt I have made.
I saw this shirt at a thrift store yesterday and knew instantly it was meant to be a skirt.
The hem is sooo pretty!

Supplies

  • T-shirt with pretty hem

  • scissors or rotary cutter and mat

  • thread

  • elastic

  • sewing machine

Cut the shirt just below the arm holes.

Fold the cut edge 1" and pin to hold in place.

Sew. This is the casing for the elastic.

Pull elastic through casing using a safety pin. Then overlap the edges of elastic and zigzag stitch.

Stitch opening closed and evenly distribute gathers.

We like to water things....

and the ground.

Come back tomorrow and learn how to make this cute belt.  You won't believe how simple is!!!!
