I love having fun holiday shirts for the kids to wear for each holiday. So for Thanksgiving I decided to make turkey t-shirts this year. I'm sure you've seen them around. I wanted mine to be a little different so here's what I did.
.
Grab a t-shirt and some knit scraps in fall colors
Cut out 1 body and 9 feathers.
Apply fusible webbing following manufactures directions.
Lay the turkey body on the shirt where you want it to be placed.
Next add the feathers tucking them under the body.
Iron on t-shirt following manufactures directions.
Sew around the body 1/8" from the edge.
Sew feathers 1/8" from edge.
Using fabric glue add google eyes and a beak.
This has been washed and dried a few times and the google eyes have stayed on with no damge to them.
Cute!!!! Thanks for sharing.
